Career History

As a copywriter, creative director, and brand strategist, I’ve always been passionate about developing solutions to client’s marketing communications problems that are surprising, relevant, and particularly results-driven.

With years of comprehensive experience at driving brand strategy through all channels — online and offline ­— I’ve developed, written and spearheaded campaigns in both B2C and B2B environments for leading brands in a wide variety of categories: financial services, healthcare, technology, internet & cable services, automotive, insurance, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, skin care, natural gas & electricity, not-for-profit, entertainment, sports & fitness, retail, and legal.

For more than 11 years, I led the creative department at The SKM Group in Buffalo, New York, most recently as Executive Vice President, Chief Creative Officer/Senior Copywriter. I spent 4 years with B/R/C Marketing in Dayton, Ohio, as Executive Vice President, Executive Creative Director/Senior Copywriter. I was also Marketing Copy Manager at Life Extension in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a global leader in the health and wellness category and one of the most highly regarded manufacturers of vitamins and nutritional supplements.

Previously, I served as Senior Vice President, Creative Director/Copywriter with the Boston office of Rapp Collins Worldwide (now Rapp), the world’s largest direct marketing agency, and as a Senior Copywriter with Tucker Wayne & Company (now 22 squared) in Atlanta, one of the country’s largest independent advertising agencies.

Most recently, I was the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Novation Ventures in West Palm Beach, Florida, a category-leading financial services firm. In support of three brands, I led strategy, creative development and execution across all traditional and digital channels. I also wrote short and long format copy and content in support of a wide variety of marketing initiatives.

In addition, I’ve worked independently on advertising, strategic, and branding assignments for a wide variety of national and regional clients.

I’ve led teams in developing campaigns that produced meaningful and measurable results for a host of blue-chip brands including Sun Microsystems, GMAC, Reebok, Teradata, Citibank, HSBC, Kia Motors, SunTrust, Dell, Reynolds and Reynolds, Cintas, CSX, Time Warner, McGraw-Hill, NCR, American Cyanamid, Hilton, MetLife, AAA, Life Extension, BlueCross BlueShield, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Just Energy, and First Choice Power.

My work has been honored by the American Advertising Federation, Direct Marketing Association, Caples International Awards, Business Marketing Association, New England Direct Marketing Association, Atlanta Chapter of the Direct Marketing Association, National Agri-Marketing Association, TELLY Awards, Summit International Awards, and Communicator Awards. In addition, I’ve served as a judge for the national ADDY awards (AAF), regional ADDY awards in Miami, Florida and Rochester, New York, as well as the International ECHO awards (DMA).
